RINGO STARR ANNOUNCES AUTUMN TOUR

Sir Ringo Starr has announced an autumn 2024 tour of North America.

The former Beatle will tour with his All Starr Band, which includes Steve Lukather, Edgar Winter, Colin Hay, Warren Ham, Hamish Stuart and Gregg Bissonette.

The nine-show tour kicks off at the Astro Ampitheatre in Omaha, Nebraska on 12 September, and wraps at New York City’s Radio City Music Hall on Wednesday 25 September.

More than 60 years have passed since The Beatles’ historic Ed Sullivan Show performance in February 1964.

At 83 years old, Starr shows no signs of slowing down, having released his four-song EP Crooked Boy on April 20.

He also recently published his eighth book, Beats & Threads — a comprehensive look at his legendary Beatles-era drum kits.

The autumn tour is in addition to the previously announced spring/summer tour which sees the All Starr Band on the road for 12 shows including Las Vegas and Mexico City.

The All Starr band are well known for playing a number of classic Beatles tracks, including fan favourites Yellow Submarine, With a Little Help from my Friends and Octopus’s Garden.

In other Beatles news, the long-shelved 1970 film Let It Be is due for a remastered release on Disney+ on May 8.

The movie is about the making of the band’s last-released album.
